The Stepped Panel (square) is a contemporary variation of the Raised and Fielded panel. The steps create an interesting effect and work very well with architraves and skirting that have a similar detail (see ARC1 & ARC9 within architraves and SKT1 & SKT9 in Skirtings). The steps have a square edge to them - see Stepped Panel Bevelled as a slight variation.
